BC Oil & Gas

This certified LEED® Gold building of 2 story precast concrete contains offices, laboratories, a geological core storage facility, and meeting / group spaces. They are laid out to maximize the number of perimeter offices and rooms, creating bright and airy spaces. Fully glazed 2-story areas maximize natural light in the building and provide a play in the exterior facade, while translucent glazing partitions inside offers natural light to extend through offices into gathering areas. Staff and public entry points are marked by a change of material and wooden accents, wooden finishes continue into the lobby, waiting, and meeting areas. Heat from winter sun is captured and helps regulate the indoor climate, allowing the facility to require minimal gas heating.
